Phase one for Battery Park Playground completed
After ONCOR’s effort to gain community feedback, coordinate with vendors, and fundraise, the City of New Castle was able to construct Phase 1 of the Battery Park Playground! We invite our neighbors and visitors, young and young at heart to come try the new playground equipment, meet new friends and neighbors and have fun! Phase two begins…
Phase 1 of the Battery Park Playground is complete! Our vision for Phase 2 is to create a flagship, destination playground intentionally designed to meet the needs of all children, regardless of physical ability. We are now coordinating a capital project to raise money so the City of New Castle can build a ship-themed structure of accessible ramps, bridges, and slides grounded in a safe rubberized surface.
